The center column is stainless steel. If you have any other questions please let me know.Ike JonThe top of the filter with the lifting lug and the ears to hold down the filter case is carbon steel. The underside of that top is stainless steel. In other words all of the wetted parts are stainless steel. I have attached a picture of the top of the filter showing the lifting lug and the ears as well as the underside of the top. Additionally I have attached a close up picture of the underside of the top of the filter. Good luck selling this filter. The grade of stainless steel is unknown.The vessel is not National Board stamped.A picture of the plates is attached.
