SOLDMedford #341 - AVAIL 5/26/09$25000 less 15%F.O.B. - NJ location(Patterson NJ) 30 min. North or Newark Airportwest of nyc (40 min from the city)2/25/09 - WET CAKE DISCHARGE. (not a solids discharge filter)Thanks Jon-The tank is code stamped for 120 PSI @ 40 DEG.F.-The leaves have a fine wire mesh screen which is probably 24 x 100 mesh all stainless steel.-According to an article on the Autojet pressure leaf filter The Auto-Jet filter features uniform leaf construction for leaf interchangeability and to provide uniform precoating filtration and cake buildup.-The cake which accumulates on the leaves is sluiced ( washed off ) by introducing liquid through a manifold which has spray nozzles mounted on a stainless pipe mounted inside the tank above the leaves...the leaves rotate to help the cleaning. The tank is sloped toward the back end so the cake drains out.-There is no pulp dryer with this filter......what does your customer want to filter ? ...is it possible he could use a pulp press ???- The filter is polished internally was used in a juice plant.Let me know how I can help you and your customer.Joe 7/29//09 - DAVID DIEHL WRITES:Please send additional information. I assume this is a pressure filter used on some type of beverage pulp. Please provide type of filtering material(?) and pore size (? micron rating) of this unit. What is maximum operating pressure? Does it have a pulp drying system? Is this a food grade system?(Questions forwarded to Joe Ricchini)Hi JonS/N 6502779......built 1965.................this is the only filter like this I know of.Jon...some time ago I spoke with Ralph Mendez who has been with US Autojet filters for quite a few years...he is with the new company which was formed after US Filter spun them off..I don't have Ralph's email address but here are the contact details :Whittier Filtration Inc12854 East Florence AvenueSanta Fe SpringsCalifornia90670USATel: +1 562 204 2550Fax: +1 562 204 2551Email: Nancy.Strodthoff@veoliawater.comURL: www.whittierfiltration.comThanks Jon The fine mesh screen over the backup screen on the leaves is stainless steel. The nameplate shows : NB# 133 - 120 PSI @ 40 DEG.F Jon....the temperature rating seems like it was stamped this way because the filter was running a chilled beverage...normally with an ASME code stamped piece of equipment the temperature rating will increase as the pressure actually in the vessel decreases. I think he may do well to talk to US Autojet.......they may be under a different company now instead of US Filter ?
