Equipped with1 - Lightly used Ross Lab High Shear Mixer/Emulsifier. Model HSM-100LSK-I. Serial #109826. T-316 stainless steel contact parts. Powered by a 3/4 HP 1/60/115V 20 amp motor. Speed range: 500 - 10000 RPM. Variable speed control via keypad with push buttons. LED speed display. Push button lift with approx. 15 in. of travel allowing for approx. 16 in. clearance under mixing blade in the raised position. According to manufacturer's literature the laboratory Batch High Shear Mixer design consists of a single stage four-blade rotor that turns at high speed within a stationary stator. As the rotating blades pass each opening in the stator they mechanically shear particles and droplets and expel material at high velocity into the surrounding mix creating intense shear. As fast as the material is expelled more is drawn into the bottom of the rotor/stator generator promoting continuous flow and fast mixing. Tabletop stand-alone design (table not included). The rotor/stator of the batch model is generally positioned 2 - 3 head diameters off the bottom of the vessel and slightly off center. To ensure adequate suspension of heavier solids the rotor/stator generator may be positioned in the center of the vessel. Interchangeable stators provide unlimited flexibility to adapt to a variety of product formulations. This laboratory batch High Shear Mixer design consists of a single stage four-blade 1 3/8 in. rotor. Unit appears to have very little (if any) prior use and has been succesfully test run.
