NETZSCH* #LMC-4 TYPE 574.04 3.4 LITER HORZ AGITATION BEAD MILLOne use for this machine... Used in Paint mixing to grind media into the smallest sizes for better color saturation... Appx Year: 1988 Serial #: 204770 Model LMC-4 Type: 574.04 Disc type (Molinex): eccentric disc Agitation System: When the shaft is rotated the eccentric mounting of the discs creates an augering effect that pulses the grinding media against the product flow. This reduces hydraulic packing and results in even distrubtion of the grinding media in the chamber... Dynamic Cartridge media Seperator: Allows use of media as small as 100 um in dia. By centrifugally sperating the beads from the product the system can handle the finest grinding media available and allows the highest throughput rates. Totally enclosed grinding vessel: eliminates indesireable effects of air entrapment & enviromental concerns of solvent emmission Continuous operation: Yes Variable speed feed pump: Yes Slurries that can be processed: 5 - 95% solids Slurries with viscosities ranging from: 1-12000 poise Processing of solvent & aqueous media: 2 -13 pH ceramic materials for metal free grinding Uniform particle size range: From: 50 um- 200 um average TO: less than 1 um (submicron) slurries w/2000 um can be processed to dispersions requiring 0.05 um (50 nanometers) average particle size.
