Based on this information we intend to market it as a “mechanic’s special” at a reduced price. The motor might need to be rewound or it might need to be replaced. Because of this we are unable to confirm our assumption that the tank is OK however we are of the understanding that it was working when taken out of service. The smoke and sparks MIGHT have merely been dust on the motor but we are not making any claims with regard to the usability of this piece. I think that we also would be best off selling it to someone local who could personally inspect it prior to shipment without having to incur a significant travel cost in doing so. Given these circumstances I assume that it would not be beneficial to either you or us to ship it out of state to you even at a significantly reduced price. Please let me know if you think otherwise.
