Description
JV WITH GEREDCOReid # UNKwe can buy from Reid for $500.00 (6/15/04)Owner wants $ 1500 to $ 2000 +/-New cost in 1991: $ 11000.00Cust #23728 - 6/29/05 - You recently quoted a price of 5000.00 for the Schott Glass condenser shown on your company web site. Is this unit still available?..If it is would you consider taking 3000.00 for it? I have 2 smaller glass condensers here at our facility and can tell you that parts for these units are quite pricey. The unit you have would be for a collection of odd glass pieces the we have collected over the last 10 years. We don’t use them in our processes. My boss just likes to collect them. Please let me know what you think of the offer made..6/29/05 - response to cust - YES - We will accept your offer of $3000.00 for this piece. Before we finalize the deal please be aware of the following: We believe that there is a broken glass coil in this unit however the rest of the glass parts (including outer main body) are presumed to be intact. We encourage inspections prior to purchase to ensure that the condition is acceptable. Shipping is NOT included in this price. We will load it on a truck at our warehouse but you will need to pay the shipping cost. Payment in full in advance is required prior to shipment. In a few minutes I will be leaving the office for the day however if you wish to discuss this further you can reach me on my cel phone at 216-403-8302. Additionally I will be in the office all day tomorrow. Please let me know the address and phone number of your company and if you need an invoice at this time. 8/3/05 - I wanted to follow up with you to inquire if there is any possibility that you are still interested in this piece at any price BELOW you prior offer of $3000.00. Attached are additional photos showing the detail of this piece. We are very eager to sell this as it is slightly damaged and not within our normal range of machinery offerings.8/3/05 - I talked with a rep from Sentinel who is very familiar with the glass heat exchangers. He told me that while the coil can be repaired there is no guarantee that the repair will be effective. Also the price to repair the coil would be significant. I could spend several thousand dollars to purchase the unit you have and have it repaired and if the repair doesn’t hold up I am stuck. This is my dilemma. I don’t know what I could offer for the unit that wouldn’t be insulting. Would 1000.00 be agreeable? 8/18/05 - I apologize for the delay in responding to you. If it is not too late we are willing to accept your offer of $1000.00 for the Schott Glass Condenser loaded on a truck at our warehouse in Garfield Heights Oh. (Near Cleveland). Please let me know if I should send you an invoice at this time as well as if you have a preferred trucking service to ship with.
