It may be easier than I expected as the part that broke is not the hydraulic piston but rather just a part that threads into it. For this machine it might be about $10K but what they will have is a machine that they can be sure is reliable and ready to run for some time and a lot cheaper than if they bought a refurbished one directly from Ross. Plus they would have the HV blades correctly installed. I would do it that way if I were them! On the other hand I think that for most applications the mixer will work just fine as it is. I would also have Ross install a VFD drive to control the speed digitally.Ross 10-Gallon Mixer SN 54745Mokon Heater Model MM2H0201 SN 22599I do not have the SN for the press.Best regardsGreg12/16/16 - SPOKE WITH GREGunit currently in shop- painting- will clean gasket groove and replace gasket- hydraulic lift has been approved by a hydraulics specialist - fluid replacedbuyer will need to retool for the hv blades - drill new hole in each shaft for blades5/19/16 - We have made excellent progress on the 10-Gallon Ross Mixer! The lift hydraulics were fully serviced and the lift control valve (brass) replaced along with some piping (stainless steel). It works real nice now. Also the blades and inside of can are in great shape. We have a little gunk to clean up on the sun gear housing. The mixer runs quiet and smooth. Check out the video. We hope to have the can cleaned up and the new paint on soon!3/29/16 - NEEDS TO ORDER A VALVE FOR THE 10 GAL. LIFT. JACKETED? VACUUM?11-02-15 - FROM GREG - 10-gallon HV blades are used but in very good condition. I think they may be chrome plated. My very strong magnet has a mild attraction to these blades.All bowls are jacketed and on casters. Two are known to be SS and have bottom discharge. Another is also SS with side discharge. One is unknown material and side discharge. Last one is unknown material and unknown whether it has discharge. I will dig those out and check them...perhaps get some photos.
