Its salinity 0.5-1 %.We tested 2 types of decanter Alfalaval and Pieralisi. HOWEVERAS IT CAME UP TO SPEED THE BEARINGS WERE STARTING TO MAKE NOISE. THENEW PURCHASER MIGHT WANT TO REBUILD IT BUT IT DID RUN FINELAST USED FOR - CARBON BLACK & PLASTIC IN A BIT OF HYDROCARBON CARRIER.HYDROCARBONS ARE USED AROUND FOOD (I.E. - PICKLES).
