Our guess is that it might have been a washing device or to introduce a liquid.2 more photos attached. One shows the agitator blades at the bottom the other is a photo of part of the top head from the inside. You can see 2 rods or short lengths of tubing attached to the head (There might be 3 or 4 of these?) and the ring is hanging from these. This photo was taken by holding a camera through the manhole opening. Jon...I looked at the U-1 report again and in the schedule of fittings they list a 1 in nozzle as wash inlet-pressure....this may be the inlet fitting for the ring you see..the spray nozzles mounted in the ring itself look like the nozzles you see sometimes in a pressure leaf filter which are used to wash off the cake from the leaves. Joe 3/25/04 - Cust #20737 question: What exactly is high T/T. and dished heads. Can you be more specific in the type of motor and drive what is the reduction factor what are the RPM of the agitator.4/5/04 - questions to vendor4/7 - per vendor -The T/T is the straight side height of the vessel and the dished heads add to the height.The agitator drive is a Philadelphia Gear Drive model MT03PTM it has a 20.9 : 1 ratio and the agitator speed approximately 85 RPM. The mixing blades are approx 36 in diameter and it's a 2 bladed design paddle type.The inside of the vessel has no baffles it was last used as a crystallizer vessel. NC.When you know the date of inspection by your customer please call Charles Atkinson at Raleigh tel # 1-919-779-8693.Charles does have a fellow at Greensboro who can show the vessel to your customer but it's possible that Charles may want to meet him.Please let us know who the customer is in case anyone else tries to register them.At Greensboro he will see some stainless steel storage tanks from 500 gallons to 5000 gallons also Charles has some jacketed ss kettles 25-80 gallons couple of filter presses and other items.
